Plan the right setup for your space.
Our FP442-15 and FP218-15S models use fan-assisted ceramic heating, with 900W low and 1500W high settings plus fan-only operation. They are supplementary room heaters for attended use, with placement and electrical requirements that matter as much as size.
Choose the setting
Low and high refer to electrical power. The thermostat cycles the heater according to its setting; it does not increase the rated maximum output.
Leave clear space
Place a portable heater on a firm, level floor, at least three feet from bedding, curtains, furniture and other combustible materials. Follow its own manual if it requires more clearance.
Use a wall outlet
Connect directly to a suitable wall outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cord, and turn the heater off when leaving the room or going to sleep.
